So, my girl and I have a pet iguana. She's had him for almost two years. She's been in the apartment we're in right now for the past year or so. He's been here with her the whole time. We recently got a leash for him so that we could take him on walks and stuff. We've done that a few times in recent weeks.

Today we got a letter saying that we're not allowed to have him and that we have to "remove the reptile from the household" by tomorrow. When she moved in, she put on the application that he was going to be here with her, and they didn't say shit about it. Now they're saying that that was an "oversight", and that we're in violation of our lease and can't have him. Well, we're sure as fuck not getting rid of him, so they said we have to find somewhere else to live within 30 days.

This fucking sucks, cause we're moving to california in about two months, and now we have to move out of here first. Moving sucks, I don't wanna have to do it twice.

We're probably just gonna go live with her mom so that we don't have to pay rent or anything.

Ok, so we're still here, and we still have the iguana. My girl called the local sheriff or some shit, and they said that they can't evict us without going through the court, which would take a longass time, so we're just staying here for the 30 days and then moving out. Fuck them. We're not getting rid of our iguana. So yeah...we're here because we have to pay rent for these last 30 days. We're trying to sell our couch and tv and tables and stuff when we move out, so that we can have more money to put toward our upcoming cross country trip. So we're gonna be here for a month, then with her mom for a month, then we're heading out to cali. Doesn't look like I should need to file any charges or anything, thank god. We're just staying here for the next thirty days, and they can't do anything to us.
