BM!! I didn't see you come in. I'll answer all three to give you lots of ammo.

I believe in a Creator, but that is where any parallels between my beliefs and mainstream religion end.

Registered democrat... as liberal as they come. I don't vote party lines on a state level ( always voted for Olympia Snowe, a republican senator here), but could never vote for a republican president.

Well, I never had any kids, so I probably shouldn't speak to that...but I will at least partially.
So many kids today(that's how you know you're old when you say that) have a humongous sense of entitlement. wtf parents? the behavior I see in public sometimes that completely goes unchecked, would have earned me at least a jerking of the arm accompanied by a withering look that guaranteed my ass was gonna beat once we got home.
Now if I had kids, I would have actually gone the no hitting route, having had parents that in this day and age would have been in jail on child abuse charges... but you still have to have discipline...I think some parents don't start early enough and by the time they try to implement it, the kids are outta control.
