Summerfest, ah yeah, there were 2 big acts playing at the same time when TGF got their slot, I've been told by TGF that people came around asking about them but they had tickets the other acts.....just bad timing there.

TGF outsold and continues to outsell Ed's solo record in the US. Ive been told this by the band. I did hype the 10-1 thing and you pick the only thing I was wrong about. THey had good attendance in most of the big market towns, and had more headcount at a lot of the same venues that Ed played at only weeks before......this is facts. TGF rejected TIcketmaster minimums of 25-30 dollar tickets because the guys wanted to give the fans affordable music (10 dollar shows), this cut into their guaranteed profits....but guess what.....they're moving forward as they took home more in one show than Ed did for 2 years of touring.

Ed has sold more than TGF in the US just by continuing to tour and sell albums at his shows. Ed's album also debuted higher than TGF's on the Billboard charts in the US, and also charted in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia while TGF did not.

TGF sold tickets for 10 bucks because they didn't want to play to empty houses. Even if TGF had a higher headcount at certain shows(which is debatable), the ticket prices were half of what Ed's tickets were.
. I seriously doubt they made more money opening for Candlebox on one show than Ed did over two years time(especially when you factor in his very profitable overseas runs). Ed has worked much harder than CCP when it comes to touring and it shows(even Kevin Martin admits it).
