what do people dislike about Birds of Pray? Options

When i first bought BOP i loved it. I'm not as keen on it now but i still think its better than V. Atleast lyrically. In all these posts about favorite albums i've noticed BOP near the bottom.

Why do ya'll dislike it?

i think you'll find that if you observe the live community over a long enough timeline, you will realize that there are SOOO many different opinions on pretty much everything regarding the band.

i personally dig BOP

i mean, in my humble opinion, Sanctity of Dreams, Run Away, and Bring the People Together are three of the absolute WORST songs live have ever put together.

but then again, She and Lighthouse are two of the absolute very BEST.

and Out to Dry is one of the best surprises the band ever put out. before that song, i never would have imagined myself enjoying any song that was even close to being 'country'.

Tracks 5-11 are really fun to listen to consecutively.

Oh, and the only annoying thing about Heaven is the 'daughter' lyric. in a song that's done by what's supposed to be a rock band?? no, thank you.

In any case, there are plenty of people who like BOP. most just aren't very vocal about it.

ahh, i can't believe i forgot about horse. i enjoy the song, but then again, i've always enjoyed throwing copper to such an extent, that i wonder if i cut some of the songs any slack. believe it or not, i wasn't very impressed with i alone when i first heard it, but now i like it for the mere fact that it reminds me of the time in my life when i first discoverd this band and their amazing music.

horse is cool. but i like 'out to dry' a lot more. i've probably sought out to listen to horse less than five times. i of course have heard it a lot after the whole cd ran, but seeking it out... skipping directly to that song, that's a different story.

out to dry, on the other hand, i purposely have listened to that one often.
