Chad Taylor makes fun of Ed lyrics, New Facebook post Options

"I just saw an old Ed lyric and had to laugh my ass off. "Does he run it deep enough for you?" Seriously? And this guy wants back in LIVE? I can hear it now..guys, here's one I wrote about water, "the dolphins make me cry" ...oh shit... That's Hootie!!"

What the hell? Ed makes shitty music and now Chad T acts like a giant douche. I just gave up on my favorite band.

Even though there is no doubt that Ed has done a lot of things wrong it will never justify this kind of behavior. If Ed wants to get back in the band, Chad T could politely tell him to go fuck off, but never post it on Facebook and at the same time mock his lyrics... They act like a bunch of teenagers.

Jesus Christ he's a grown man and can say whatever the hell he wants to say. This idea that he has to tow some line and act according to what we think is acceptable is bullshit. Personally I love when he posts this stuff, it shows he is a real, passionate, emotional yet flawed human being, he is organic, he is what music should be. You know all the reasons you love him so something like this doesn't make him a bad person. Whenever I see one of his outbursts I am reminded of WHY he is feeling this way and know that no matter how "bad" it is that he is saying this, what Ed did to cause him to feel that way must be 1000 times worse. This notion that Ed should be able to do whatever he wants and CT should take it on the chin in private is bullshit. CT can respond however he wants to, if you don't like it, it's your problem, not his. And honestly, he's telling the truth, since 2000 Ed's lyrics have been trash. He didn't knock everything Ed did, that would be crazy, he said some. I imagine writing now is just putting things into perspective.
So yeah, good on CT, no need for every update to look like a press release that has been looked over by a PR manager before its posted. Leave that to Ed which goes along with the sort of manufactured, boring, clinical, safe music he is making... Let CT's posting reflect the vibe of what music should be - passionate, unbound, emotional... It makes you feel something one way or another. That's the difference, Ed tells you how you should feel, CT throws it out there for you to make up your own mind. Clearly I've made up mine, he did nothing wrong.
