I didn't know where to put this topic? if it should start under "Ed wants a reunion talks about lawsuit"or "CCCP are back in Nashville" or what.

1st i'd like to say Hello, Hows it going! I haven't been coming around lately been going through some work related drama which in turn flows into family drama. All is good now (I hope) .

One of my favorite past times is reading the threads and talking about Live. So i'm glad even at 2am to be able to talk about some of the things I have missed concerning this thing we call "LIVE".

I Just checked I got a few messages I will answer them ASAP. Thx for your patience on some of the requests and questions.

So I just read the Ed thread about wanting to get a reunion on and him briefly touching upon the legal stuff going on w/ CCP. I love this band. I'm sure thats why you people are all here because you love this band. I know that the music changed the style changed they changed. What can we do? Fuck, every album since BOP i have been hoping it would be another SS. It never happened. Truth is even with Shinn I doubt it will happen. Seriously doubt it. I know we want it to happen but the chances of it are super lotto chances people just associate the bald guy w/ this band. I do like that Ed said he wants to come back. I know a lot of you believe its a PR stunt probably is but I don't know for sure. I don't know Ed and CCP personally ( i guess I could spend $250 and chit chat w/ Ed). Some times I feel like I do cause of my connection to LIVEs music. Its made me happy sad and at times very upset. I also have to admit they all pissed me off with their hiatus or break up or whatever the fuck it was. (my use of the F' word is unbelievable!)

To tell you the truth I think its the perfect time for Ed and CCP to get back together. I know some of you are shaking your heads in your faded TC shirts thinking "Fuck no! Ed had his chance and he bleeeeew it" (Robert Dienero voice from Copland) Your thinking oh, Lebanon Corvalis is an Ed Lover and given the chance he would blow Ed while listening to RISE" Well the fact is I do Love Ed and I love CCP thats why I'm here ( I would not Blew a dude if your into that suck away! I'm cool Im voting for Obama). This is why I'm going to tell you my big theroy on why its the perfect time for a reunion.

For the 1st in a long ass time I believe there is a fire and angst in all of them. An energy that has not been there in a long, long time on both sides. Ed is doing his Solo stuff not doing awesome but I'm sure he makes good money doing his shows. If Ed loses the "Frontman of Live" in front of "Ed Kowalczyk" its going to hurt the old pocket book. I'm sure he is also pissed about the lawsuits. (there I go again acting like im buddy buddy w/ the guy)

I just went through a lawsuit which I won but it still pisses me off that I had to go through it!

Now CCCP got an album they just wrote and have music with no Ed involvemnt. They have had 100% control in making it. Isn't that what we have been talking about for years amongst ourselves and other LIVE fans? Isn't that what we have been wanting forever (no pun intended)? We have always wanted more involvement from CCP since BOP - SFBM. We have all said at one time or another that if CCP had more influence on those albums they would have been a shit load better? maybe even great? Now we have it!! No Ed whats so ever on music and Lyrics. We even brought in new blood to help with it. I'm sure Shinn was involved I don't think CCP aren't going to include him in the process right? I'm sure Sean was involved in the process as well as Kevin Martin. Once again no Ed. In theroy we bring in Ed to sing their songs and we could have the best LIVE album in years. Or we find out that the reason these last albums sucked is because they all had a hand in it sucking. (Which I think in one way or another they did. Sorry Ed CCP).

I'm sure Ed would go for it. Ed can do his solo stuff w/ The LIVE monkier in front of his name as a full member of the band LIVE. Also if the new LIVE album is sucessful CCP can say "Hey Ed,see we needed to be more involvement for a better product". Ed will be happy cause he can make money w/ Live and make money doing his solo stuff when not touring w/ the band. Plus CCP is back in the procees of making records where they are fully involved again. Plus the have The Gracious Few.

Now do we get rid of Chris Shinn and Sean? Fuck no! we leave them where they are. They bring in fresh ideas they are new blood. They are hungry, Excited to be there that excitement gets everyone motivated. I would love to see Ed and Shinn sing together. (like Alice in chains, Jagger and Richards, Perry and Tyler).

I know we are hardcore LIVE fans. A lot of you blame Ed for all the shit thats going on but the real truth is I'm not part of the band and neither are you. We don't know what really happened. Its all speculation rumors piece of pieces. (please don't mail me articles and rumors)

I know Chris shinn is a good singer I bought his solo album and the Hybrid Theroy Cd he can sing. The thing is we know as hardcore fans that this is LIVE continuing amd moving forward. Most people, the casual fans the ones that we need to buy the new album to keep are band making new records and hitting the road w/ a successful tousr. Not just us hardcore fans. We are a loyal fanbase but obviously not big enough to get the big sales. We need new blood to bring the casual fans back that loved the 1st 4 albums and have no idea what V, BOP and SFBM even are. Include Ed Kowalczyk and Gracious Few.

Lets all stop with the fucking hate and support this idea. We all love LIVE, thats why we are here and still here. We know they have potential thats is why we still hang on and hold a torch that these guys have a great record in them. They do!

All this controversay is what I believe will bring back this band! Ed was replaced you think deep down inside this doesn't fuck with him even a little? His friendship going to shit doesn't bother him even a little? We know for a fact it has fucked w/ Chad T.

I lost 2 good friends a couple years ago over stupid shit. Friends I have been w/ hanging out since highschool. (i'm 39) a long fucking time. They were my Roomates, my sholder, breathern. After 2 years of not talking we are starting to patch it up now. Slowly starting to hang out again . We didn't even apologize to each other we said lets forget about it and move forward.
The Hiatus as friends messed with me over those 2 years. As angry at the situation as I was it hurt me at times that they weren't there. They missed the birth of my child and I missed their wedding. After all the drama we hung out the entire Labor day weekend drinking our asses off! Like we never missed a beat. Our mutual friends happy to see us rekindling our friendship (they mentioned it several time throughout the weekend). These people weren't just aquaintences they were and are my best friends. If we can do it ..... I believe that LIVE can come together and work things out. Chad Taylor is the catalyst for this. He is the one that can do it. He can bring the music of LIVE back and more importantly save an old genuine friendship.

I hope Chad and Ed read this. life is too short. If what Chad has said in the past of wanting his old friend back is true, it will happen. If Ed is a real Christian which I truly believe he is, this is a long conversation away from being resolved. Forgiveness redemption and love is all part of the Christian faith. I'm a practicing Christian I ain't just spinning it.

I love this band. Thats why i'm here. That is why I have a wall in my office deicated to them. That is why w/ my wife I have waited hours outside a venue to meet them. This why I have spent thousands in Live shows, fan clubs and collectables. That is why when my wife and child almost died during birth I was afraid that "Lightning Crashes" was coming true for me (worst night of my life). Thats why when I saw my wife ok "Run to the water" Is what I sang to her and why when we were finally able to see our child My wife brought up "Heaven". That is why I never talk shit about either side and I never will. That is why I hold hope that one day my favorite and your favorite band and Ed's, Chad T's, Chad G's and Pat's favorite band will be back together again.

Sorry to get all mushy and over indepth, sorry that I got a little Psycho Obessive. Their music has just been a huge part of my life since I was a kid till now. The soundtrack to my life, if you will. Plus I think we the "fansoflive" have a bond and I feel I can share.

Well thats enough for me! Its fucking late. I shouldve been working all this time I got shit loads of it or even watching internet porn or a youtube cat video instead. (J/K on the last 2, or am I ) glad to have the time to hang again and write endlessly. (sorry about the grammer and the rambling. I'm a rightside brain user not a left brainer)

It'd be great if CCP could work things out with Ed as friends and bros... but that would have to happen long before they could ever work out a reunion as Live. And I'm guessing a reunion of Live would require a lot of concessions on Ed's part. And before a reunion of Live could even be considered, I'm guessing things with CS and CCP would have to falter pretty hard first.

I won't say all of that is impossible, but some things are just too improbable.
