With the guys finishing up the record this week (wish we knew if that was recording, mixing, or mastering!), what are your biggest wishes for the record? I'll get started:

-I want to hear PD play slap bass. He is so freaking good at it and I think it adds a whole new dimension to Live's sound.

-I'd like to hear CT give us one more solo like Honest Man. I know he doesn't like solo'ing, but that solo is awesome and perfect for the song, just like his Graze solo.

-One re-recorded b-side that we've never heard. I don't want an album of this, but I'd love it if they dropped one b-side on the record like New City, Change (I know we've heard it but I'd love a good quality version), or Wash the Blood Away. That would be smoking.

-Good album art. This is subjective, I know, but the last 3 Live albums have had really uninspired art. I'd love to see something truly unique like TDTH or TC.

Secret Samhadi was plenty of moments in which everything was at his own place. And all of that without big solos or screaming vocals. grace's solo is an example. Turn my head also comes to my mind as well. Rattlesnake, almost all of them. That's what I want. Music that breathes. I can't ask the guys to do something they can't. I know that CT isn't a great guitarist, but it looks like he improved alot by playing with Hennesy. I would like to see this improvement because maybe it was missing with Live in the earlier days.

And I want SUSQUEHANNA!

really happy to read that...because during the period TC-----SS-----TDTH------V , I was wondering if the guy really practiced to get better. I was concluding to a no, because the guitar wasn't getting that better, except the tone on SS. And as a musician, you should aim at getting better at what you do. So I always had that little thing in my head during their career even if it is my favorite band. CT kinds of forgiving himself to me the way he writes in blogs, the way he expresses hisself. The long blog about the recording of the albums is pure gold.

That blog told you about how he was feeling when the creative process was being stifled. He checked out, and forgivingly was honest about it. This is all you need to know how Live staggered to a halt. By SFBM he played a few notes, then the producer replayed his stuff for the record. How would you feel when a band dynamic was upset for one's gain or direction against the wishes of the others. I'll leave it at that. By the time TGF started to form, the commuication and interaction of really immersing yourself in the music was new and fresh, it allows the musician to learn and grow again, Having Sean around really helped CT open up. I saw this first hand for the first time on the tour bus. They were practicing the Bruce Springsteen song Born to Run so they could insert it into Guilty Fever's bridge. You can find some videos around here or gracious fans. CT soloed a bit on the TGF tour and he's dabbling in expanding songs to have them flow better!
