Ed Kowalczyk working for LIVE Reunion?! Options

Kowalczyk said he left Live in 2009 because he needed a creative spark. But the band has not been pleased. Just last week, Live, which has a new singer, filed a lawsuit, trying to prevent Kowalczyk from using the Live name.

“I don’t take any of that seriously,” said Kowalczyk, referring to reports of discontent. “I mean, the fans obviously are interested and deserve some sort of reunion with the four original members. And I’m still working for that.”

As much as I truly will miss ED K singing Live songs, I would not attend a reunion show whatsoever.

I my life, I make it a point not to support people who behave in such a manner. I despise that type of thing.

I also could not stand the way Ed started performing either. With his cheesy strip show and all. Neither do I want to hear songs like The River or Forever, or any other of those cookie cutter bullshit songs. To me, that is not LIVE.

It's just so sad that when you see footage of the rockpalast show in Germany, you can't help but wonder how it turned to such utter shit. And now after hearing TGF's debut record, I know for fact that the source of the new shit was Ed. To me, and I KNOW many others, we want the old jamming Live back. The band that slammed out 8 and nine minute versions of I Alone, The Dolphins Cry and of course, beauties like Where Fishes Go.

Songs like The River and all the new crap drove away so many fans from this band it's almost impossible to guage or count. It was way fucking more than it drew in, that's for sure. I can't tell you how many people I've read or heard about personally who utterly laughed and scoffed about how Live just fell off a fucking cliff. They went from making relevant music to singing songs that open with "la da dada dada da da"

Seeing CC&P come out with a hard hitting rock album really opened my eyes and made me realize that Ed was the sole fucking source of the cheese. Their stage shows went from being dark and charismatic, to a strip show with Ed prodding around like a fool, embarassing the band and alienating fans.

If and when Ed is truly ever and willing to rock again? I say good for the fans. I say that CC&P don't even consider it until they're sure he's gotten over himself.

But one things for fucking sure. I have no interest whatsover in seeing that human being on stage again, no matter who he's with, period.
