Ok only vote in this if you have heard the "entire" album. So far I'd have to say my favorite song on the album is "Show". I just love the bluesy feeling to the whole song.

Sofia.

Despite some less-than-admirable lyrics, I really like the funkiness and tempo of the song. I really fell in love with it after someone (on this board?) mentioned that Sofia is the Greek word for wisdom. Whether that was Ed's intent or not (I honestly believe it was), the song took on a whole new meaning to me after thinking about Sofia not as a person, but as the concept of wisdom.

For example: "One of these days I'm gonna dive into her waves and bring back the meaning of it all" says so much more if Sofia is wisdom rather than a person, as does "Sofia, rain down on me..".

I think it would make a strong radio single as well, since people generally care little about lyrics - and lots about catchiness/tempo - when deciding whether or not to like a song upon first listen.

So it's #1 for me -- followed by Mystery, Show, Night of Nights, and Get Ready.

The more I listen to Sofia the more I really like it. I'm definately listening to Sofia and Show a lot more than the others right now. But the whole album is really decent.
