Doing some cleaning today yielded two audience recordings from summer leg of tdth tour. 8/12/2000 Scranton and 8/22/2000 PNC Holmdel. These are already in the community for years from other sources. These two are pretty much straight to cassette from a small portable recorder. Pnc is muffled a bit as its from second row right and few cuts due to ushers. Scranton isnt too far from the circulated one but has more talking. How does one transfer to digital? I am sure I don't have the equipment.

If you still have a tape deck, you'll need a Analog to Digital Converter (ADC, sometimes mistakenly called a DAC) to convert the analog output of the tape deck to a digital stream that can be recorded on your computer. The mic input on your computer will work, but the quality is usually terrible.

I have a couple of ADCs around, the best bang for the buck unit is the Behringer UCA202 http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UCA202.aspx

Hope this helps,
Brian
