I'm sure Ed was on fire, the fire was crap, but it's clear he was still working hard, and when he's the only one writing then he's bound to be doing more, not always a good thing, but you can't deny it.

It's been stated before that CCP's biggest downfall was not standing up to Ed earlier and putting their foot down. People that support Ed seem to view this as them being weak and trying to ride the money train (SFBM, money, lol). And others see it as 3 guys doing their best to keep a friendship and brothership together supporting Ed and hoping things would turn around. I think the truth probably lies somewhere between the two.
But can people really fault CT for saying positive things in public about SFBM and such at the time? When you're trying to promote an album you can't exactly publicly trash it, regardless of whether they liked it or not, they were in it and involved so they towed the company line ... they would have been called everything under the sun at the time if they went out publicly trashing it then. Seems like with CCP to a lot of people they're damned if they do and damned if they don't.
Now that its in the past the truth can come out, I don't think there is anything that says the stories "don't match" because of what they said back then compared to what they say now, the circumstances were different and it's clear from CT's words that even then when he was doing the public positive thing, that things were not exactly rosie behind the scenes.

But they didn't. Maybe they were getting lazy and complacent and in a creative lull because of their duties taken away from them, maybe they were wanting to support Ed, why can't it be a mixture of everything? Look how many of us fools kept hanging around and hanging around hoping for a better change, what makes us any different to CCP? When SFBM came out every fiber of our beings, for so many of us was saying "ok, the ship is sinking and beyond saving, lets get off". But for whatever reason we kept sticking it out, it doesn't mean we secretly loved SFBM and was hoping it would do well, it doesn't mean that CCP did either, there are a lot more factors and emotions at play when it comes to something like this rather than a simple:
