You Know I don't know what happened with Ed & CCP all I know is they broke up, hired a new singer and Ed went solo. But as pissed off as they seemed toward the end I seriously doubt That the CCP are pussies. What I mean by this is after Ed wrote BOP the band didn't get together and say "Hey we didn't sell shit and got squashed by critics and fans! Ed's writing sucks? we need to do something and fix this now" I didn't hear that.

Then your telling me they stood there holding their dicks and let Ed continue writing the next couple of albums. I don't buy that shit. I think CCP fully supported the albums. I think they liked them and thought they were putting a good product. Your telling me Ed had mind control over CCP? I don't think so. I'm not trying defend Ed and his supposed actions. I just don't think CCP would just stand there and say nothing especially after the reasons they gave for reforming the band with Chris. They would not intentionally destroy their band or let one person destroy what they built.

I was never in a band but my brother was. I sat and wrote music with him sometimes and gave input to some of thyrics. I saw 1st hand the dynamics of what went on in his band. They used to bicker about the The lyrics, How slow or fast the tempo should be and they were all vocal about the songs they didn't give a shit about. My brother was the songwriter of course he got pissed but the band figured out because that is how bands usually work (Foo Fighters and Bush are a couple exceptions to the rule)

So Ed and his super powers that Jesus gave him were used against CCP to keep their true feelings and opinions shoved up their collective asses? I also don't buy the friend excuse either, "hes are best friend and we are going to let this band go to shit cause we believe in him!"

I don't think artist/bands given the opportunity intenionally puts out garbage. The records labels do that shit. Chad reads these post sometimes if asked I'm guessing he would tell you the same.
The Gracious few is a good example. I was stoked as many of you were when that album came out. I was thinking"ok no more love my kid songs now we are going to get back to some rocking shit!"

So we went back to rocking shit and what happened? Nada. We got a few good songs the guys appeared to be having a good time playing new music. Your telling me thats what its all about? These fuckers put out a record for the love of music, to recapture some of the vintage LIVE magic and to make money and to have a succesful album!

I'm sure that CCP heard/read the complaints about the last 4 albums and went in the studio and poured their heart sole into this record hoping it would be successful and what the fans wanted and cried about for years (I'm 1 of them). It was a descent attempt but was it the return of LIVE's magic we were hoping it was going to be? No. But why wasn't it? Ed is no longer writing the lyrics no more ooooohs and Lalala's, KSCCP were collaberating on the music as a unit No "Like a junky needs a vein love songs" pure fucking Chad T. foot stompng kick as rock. The rock we have been demanding for years! I'm sure they thought they had done it! "They heard and read the negativity & changed it up and swore that they would not allow another SFBM. This should have been the best record since "the distance." Maybe it was but not in terms of sales and success? I don't want to hear the label excuse. There has been bands on dirt shit labels with no push that went on to sucess and great sales. Bands form for a few reason :Its the Best job in the world, quality model Pussy (or dick if your a chick vice versa if your gay ) success and cash money!

This why I know Eds is putting out the best he can for this EP and is doing what he thinks his fans want. (what he thinks) CCCP are in the same boat! CCCP want to be successful and make cash. I have a feeling after 8 million records sold, touring all over the world CCP are well off, Not Trump but they have ends. Why do you think Chris Shinn joined the band? love of music, pussy,(i don't know if he's married) sucess and some touring LIVE cash, that you get from a band that is successful or has a good following. These guys always try to put out their best stuff. Also not 1 man is responsible for the demise of this band. Well not according to the theory that CCP just stood there and did nothing to fight off the mind control.

Sorry I know I got off the subject a bit but I'm tired of Ed bashing. He was the voice of my favorite band and still is on 4 great records and a few scattered songs on the rest. I have sang their songs in my car, the bath and at many a karaoke bar. (after a few drinks I do a mean Lightning Crashes). Ed and CCP will always have my respect.

Once again I'm not defending either side. Until I read the biography put out by the band then I might consider talking some shit about the "who did or said what".

To CCCP and Ed, put out the best you can. I will buy and support it also I'm looking forward to it!

You got a point there LC - were CCP so piss weak that they couldn't even stand up to what Ed supposedly demanded. When one of my kids tells me the other one made him do it, I ask 'did she hold a gun to your head'?
