I am seeing Willie Nelson on Fathers Day at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington Delaware. Front row! Taking my dad! So I was looking for his popular songs on iTunes and found that he just released a new album entitled Heroes. Figuring that he would be playing a bunch of stuff from the new album, I decided to download it and listen to it before the concert. I am not a huge country music fan. But I enjoy all kinds of good mucis and Willie Nelson is a legend. Guess what?

Willie Nelson's new album Heroes is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend it. The songs are so well written and performed. It is a really personal album. I really love it.

Saw him perform Pearl Jam's Just Breathe with his son on Jimmy Fallon recently. It was superb. And his son sounds remarkably like a young Willie. I also enjoyed his cover of Coldplay's The Scientist. A true icon of American music.

Saw Willie Nelson last night. Front row. Just simply an amazing experience. He is an incredible guitar player and a living legend. His vocals sounded better than any recording I have heard of him. Got to meet him and shake his hand and wish him a happy father's day. That was a night I will never forget.
