I love how you use the word reckon frequently, Jayda. Makes you sound all southern edit to add....that's a good thing, reminds of relatives in North Carolina.

he turned 2 Nov 30th, so I guess 2 1/2
he has a larger vocabulary as he's aged... he doesn't just whine, he talks now... he's got lots of noises. (he doesn't actually SPEAK - I'm not insane) but he has a much larger vocabulary than any dog I've ever had.

Oh, I thought maybe his activity level was related to age. Aussie's are active dogs by nature, they like to keep busy, lol.
My dog is also very verbal...my husband and I are always commenting on just how much he talks compared to other dogs we have had. It's really something to see, isn't it...you just know he's working hard trying say something.
It's weird though, I didn't really see that as a characteristic of aussie's when I was kinda researching them once I knew that Doc would be coming to live with us. :dunno
