in seriousness, though, I remember when I first heard Deep Enough (in concert) and I looked at my friend and said "is he saying "does he run it deep enough" or "is his lovin' deep enough" "and she looked at me, tilted her head, and said with a smile "he's talking about f**king hard enough to take you there" and I said "yep, that's it... huh" and was really impressed that Live stood by lyrics that edgy.

clearly there are more graphic songs on earth, but I felt like that was graphic, and kind of something done on a whim. I mean, the Dolphin's Cry talks about wrapping your legs around me and trying to breath "so we can go together" and I have always interpreted that as orgasming at the same time, not taking some journey together (though metaphorically, the orgasm is a journey of sorts...)

anyway, it's clearly dirty, but it's not the same edginess as Deep Enough.
I feel like V was just the guys pissin' in the wind. (or the mainstream, whatever)
I like that about it.
