Overcome (Australian single) - 2001

FORMAT: CD single
PACKAGING: Slim jewel case
CATALOG #: 155 915-2
BARCODE #: 0 008815 591522
MATRIX #: 0145558 01 IFPI L681 SMEA
STICKER: 1.5625" in diameter

TRACKLIST:

[4:16] - 01. Overcome [Album Version]
[3:01] - 02. Overcome [Acoustic Version] *
[3:22] - 03. Simple Creed [Acoustic Version] #
[0:00] - 04. Overcome [Enhanced Video]

* Recorded at 89x Windsor, Ontario.
# Recorded live on October 3rd, 2001 at the Philadelphia Spectrum.

Proceeds from the sale of this CD single were donated to the Rudy Giuliani Twin Towers Fund.

There are two instances of image editing errors on the front cover of this release. Right above the black stars to the extreme right and extreme left of the bottom of the cover, you can clearly see black blotches which look to have been left from a paintbrush type of tool from an image altering program. The error seems to be corrected only on the European 2-track CD singles.

*****

The Overcome video is a low quality .mov file. It would have been good back in 2001, but in 2012 it just doesn't cut it. It's the version with Ed at the World Trade Center site.

The tracks were ripped from a CD and tagged. MP3 and FLAC downloads are available.
Also included in the archive are some scans (taken from http://www.livediscography.com)

ha ha... lol.gif

When I signed up, I failed to notice that my "default" country, was Afganistan yahoo.gif Thought I corrected it, but appearently not (difficulties of registration, led directly to my screen name wow.gif )

I have been following Live since MJ and kinda tailed off the last few years. My music collection is absolutely MASSIVE and not enough hours in the day to listen to all the stuff I already have. I find myself digging back into some of these bands I followed for soo many years and got a bit inspired. I am going to pick up the Amsterdam DVD and rip it to a pair of CD's when it arrives. I was considering the CD version, to keep it simpler, but alas it has fewer tracks sad.gif In fact, the DVD is still short a number of songs from the two shows in which it was filmed and ***HERE*** is a link for info.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing the CD I purchased with some alternate versions of some familiar songs.

It would be nice if you could share the MP3's of Wings and Mirror Song from the paradiso concert!!

And welcome to this board, this is not really the right topic to introduce yourself, but it's ok for me.

I really thought you were from Afganistan, but i don't think Live has some fans over there.

Again, welcome to this board. And feel free to share music if you think you have got something.

AOM.

OK... uploading these two songs, but assume you want to edit them into your CD version. I one-tracked a .wav file from the DVD, so have a single file that is the entire show of just over 80 minutes. I found both Mirror song and Wings and left a bit of each song on each side and made a single file. If you are familiar with editing .wav files, this will be easy and allow a seamless addition of these songs without missing any chatter/intro/explanation from Ed.

I will come back with the link when it is done in a few minutes thumbsup.gif

OK ***HERE*** it is

Thank you very much.
For me its not necessary to make my own cd. I've already have the CD and DVD. I'm very happy with those two songs. I will put them on my Ipod and add them to the Live at the Paradiso folder on my pc as bonus tracks. Thanks a lot for putting your work into this. Keep up the good work. thumbsup.gif

Me again (sorry)
I wanted to edit the file (cut the ending of the river and Ed's talking).
But it seems the program i have can't edit FLAC files.
If you have got the time, could you please seperate Mirror Song and Wings (Without unimportant talking).

Thanks a lot for everything you have done already.
