He says about the new album:

it is "a little more melodic". "It rocks, but it's more like a psychedelic, bluesy rock edge. And it's evolving in a very surprising way in my perspective, so I'm excited about it."

He also said that he "wouldn't close any doors" to a reunion with Live.

Seems someone has changed his tune. It's amazing that people other than CCP do that.

And yes I do believe the door is locked shut. I hope so.

Actually Ed has said he wouldn't close any doors for quite some time. CCP would be smart not to do the same.

The actual quote was this:

But when we asked Kowalcyzk about it, he said he "wouldn't close any doors". "I think that we need a break and a breather. (But) I wouldn't close any doors to future collaborations," he said, before adding, "but right now, I'm enjoying playing with new friends and new bandmates and going to new places, like Singapore. It's just a really exciting time in my life."

So while Ed "may not be closing any doors", he doesn't seem to want to work with CCP again any time soon either.
