After over 6 months of tireless searching, I got a new job!!! The good part is, it's not in any type of 'Corporate America' location I am officially done pretending to look busy lol.gif

I am slowly climbing the rungs of Television production. Here's my job description. omg.gif

WMUR ABC 9 is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in the capacity of a Master Control Operator on a part-time basis. The candidate should have experience with TV studio broadcast equipment. Candidate will be responsible for program recording, playback, switching, quality control of video and audio signals, remote camera control, tuning in of satellite and ENG feeds, maintaining station and transmitter logs and other related duties. Computer experience is also very helpful.

I am petrified, but really excited too! Wish me luck!!!

yay.gif

Congrats, job searching fucking sucks so it's nice when you finally land something. I'm sick of looking through job search websites and seeing the fucking BS opening lines they have "ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT DEBT COLLECTING??" .. why hell yes I am!

I know your pain. I was lucky and nabbed a freelancing in Feb. My boss told me getting into TV is all timing and luck. There are people I work with who have been Freelancing for a year, which basically means maybe a shift or two a week, and you aren't an 'employee' ( which is a pain in the ass for various reasons). Plus the pay is AWFUL. I am getting paid LESS than what I got in unemployment every week nervous.gif But I'm hoping after some time I can work my way back up the pay scale. I started 2 nights ago and so far so good! It's WICKED hard though.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys, I love you all!!!
