The American band LIVE has cancelled its Latin American tour, including the shows it was scheduled to perform in Brazil in September.

According to a statement released by the production company Opus Entretenimento, the tour was postponed at the band's request, as they are "dedicating all their attention to finalizing new songs for their next album."

“To our incredible fans across Latin America, we want to share that the shows in São Paulo and Porto Alegre will be rescheduled, as we are dedicating all our attention to finalizing new music for our upcoming album. The creative energy in the studio has been inspiring, and we are excited to bring these new songs to life and share them with you as soon as possible,” stated LIVE [via Billboard].

The band also stated that they intend to reschedule the shows in the future, although there is no date set yet. "We can't wait to return to Latin America and celebrate together. More information will be available in the future," they added.

The group was scheduled to perform on September 9th at Vibra in São Paulo, and on September 11th at the Araújo Vianna Auditorium in Porto Alegre, 23 years after their first performance in Brazil.

According to the production company, customers who purchased tickets for the shows will have their money refunded through the Eventim ticketing platform. For any questions, the public can contact Eventim Customer Service.

I don't believe the reason given for the postponement.

So it’s gonna take 3+ months to work on Live album? It’s a good cover, but gives Ed room to wiggle in the press.

He’s not going to be able to release the said works under the Live mark.

He might be in a court room on the stand in September
