Old Fan Returning to Share a Bit of History Options

Longtime fan checking in. I used to moderate some of the original fan message boards back in the day, spent a lot of time around the band, and met so many amazing fans—some of whom turned into lifelong friends. After a long break from social media, I’ve recently made my way back. The band has gone through many evolutions over the years, and so has the fanbase. But through it all, the connection still runs deep. Last week marked 33 years since I saw Live in concert for the first time. This old T-shirt doesn’t fit anymore, but I can’t bring myself to let it go. It was 1992, and I was just 13 when I somehow managed to sneak into a venue in Cincinnati I had no business being in. Every bit of it was worth the risk. That night lit a spark. It led to decades of unforgettable memories—and I’m still grateful, all these years later. Cool shirt. It's amazing that you would seek out a relatively unknown band at such a young age and then proceed to enter a licensed venue. Live must have made a big impression on you.

According to the tour history page it was Bogarts. Have you ever returned? Is it still around?

I haven’t lived in that part of the world for many years, but Bogart’s still holds a special place in the Cincinnati, OH music scene. I first discovered Live thanks to a mixtape my best friend made, which featured the early version of “Good Pain” from Death of a Dictionary. One listen and I was hooked. That moment sparked a journey that led to countless memories and nearly 100 shows over the years.
