John Rotolo and Chad Gracey have played 3 unreleased Live tracks on The Gracious Two podcast. These are recordings featuring the 4 original Live members and were recorded around the time of Local 717.

The Gracious Two - LIVE Show 042
https://rumble.com/v52bgg1-the-gracious-two...e-show-042.html

Unreleased Live song called "Signs of Life" is played 38 minutes in.
Another track at 39 minutes called "Face to Face"
Final track around the 40 minute mark is called "Little Flame Overnight"

In another episode a snippet of "10,000 Cups" was also played, however Chad Gracey says the version broadcast was the version where he wasn't on drums.

Thanks for sharing! Any chance we will hear the full and real versions of the songs? Only time will tell. How did the guy playing them got the songs? And why doesn’t Gracey knowif he drummed on tracks or not? tongue.gif

Out of what we’ve heard, my curiosity was most piqued by 10,000 Cups.
I’m still waiting to be blown away by a new Līve song.
I’m wondering if Ed will use these, or is able to use these, as the new music he was working on recently in Austin, TX. Guess we will be learning soon!

Because there were a few demo versions of 10000 cups where Chad had his arm injury during the time . Those are the real versions of the songs. The songs/snippets were allowed to be played through custodial means. Until the songs are given a Live official release they should not be released. IMHO…..Integrity matters.

Agree with both. There was a reason these were not released on Local 717. Maybe its not fair to judge them, especially without even reaching the chorus, but I know plenty of live songs that grabbed me within 10 seconds.

The subject matter in these songs definitely loses me. It's redemption this and prayer that. Can't ed come up with anything else these days? The live I fell in love with was dark and intellectual. I don't want them to remain locked in 1994, but I would like a good hook, clever wordplay, and in general music that makes me think.

I do appreciate the high quality of these uploads, and the rip itself. The candor of "whose that chick? idk" was also hilarious.

Agreed. These all sound like a continuation of The Flood and the Mercy. I enjoyed that album but still a far cry from the best of Live and would hope for something more in the future, while still being realistic that that’s unlikely to happen,

There are several types of water body he is yet to address, he could sing about a lagoon, or a pond.

On a similar topic, has no one heard the goose Blackstone songs yet ? I can’t believe these aren’t online or there aren’t any fulsome reviews.
