Local 717 with redux drums Options

Ever since Local 717 came out, I wasn't happy with the drums, but I couldn't ever put my finger on why. Then, after the Rolling Stone article came out a couple weeks ago about Robin Diaz doing all the drums for it, everything clicked and I decided it was time for me to take drastic measures: I was going to re-do the drums in my own vision of how they should go with the songs, because why not.

How I did it: I used moises.ai to remove the drums from the songs, and then I used Reaper (a popular digital audio workstation alternate to Pro Tools that I've used for years to record my own personal songs) to record my takes on the drums. I roughly mixed them the best that I could, considering I'm using mp3's of the studio tracks with AI that removed the drums, and I didn't use a professional studio. Perfection wasn't the goal here. Just a different take on an EP we've all known intimately for the last 4 years. Consider them demo tracks at best.

This project was a huge undertaking for me, but really fun and challenging to do, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Feedback is more than welcome if anyone's up for it.

I also want to give a huge shout out to one board member in particular that listened to all of these tracks as I recorded them and gave me the inspiration to see this project through to the end. You know who you are, and thank you for everything.
