Chris Daughtry just had a live chat with fans on Patreon, and said that Patrick Dahlheimer from LIVE will be filling in on his upcoming tour for his departed bassist.
So it is confirmed by the man himself.
The tour runs from February 9th until March 26th throughout the US, and should be a must see for Live fans.

Glad to see he is getting on with doing something! I think the best we can hope for now is various band members doing something that isn't Live.

Happy he’s getting out there on the road. Hmm, 4 hours away from me, and the only Daughtry song I know was his first single that dropped after American Idol. So, I’ll stay home and watch on YouTube. Will be interesting to compare Pat on stage with Daughtry to 2019 Pat on stage with Live.

Great for Pat! Knowing that Ed has made comments in the past about how Live rehearses before they tour its safe to assume there will be no Live summer tour this year. If there is, it would be late summer / early fall at the earliest. I don't think that Live is done touring. I just don't see it happening this year.

I do think Ed will release music again somewhere in the future. I do have my doubts that they ever release new music again under Live. I'm guessing they'll become an occasional summer tour act once they have confidence they won't lose money due to covid issues.

Patrick can learn 20+ songs in a few days and yet Live continue to play the same static setlist year after year.
