I don't think I could put it into better words than what someone wrote in a recent SFBM album review:

Eh, even though I gave SFBM 5 stars, Love Shines isn't one of my favorites.

I like the message, but it sounds like a country-pop song. Just can't get into it.

This song reminds me of singing hymns in church. I guess that is kind of the point.

Hmm I don't skip it when it comes on the CD but I certainly don't go looking for the song. Not a whole lot I can say about it right now being its so new.

I love "Love Shines", i guess you would have guessed that by my name.

I listen to the song EVERY morning when i wake up. In my opinion it is the best song to wake up to. It puts me in the right frame of mind for the day ahead smile.gif

i listen to the song, but when i do it really sums up for me how fucked up ed really is. FFS, the buddha under the tree. lamest fucking lyrics i've ever heard. good thing lyrics rank low on how i rate a song - lol - still one of the weaker songs on the album IMO.

I was just giving shit to the chorus of Show in another thread for being corny, but this song is corny in a good way...I play it in my car on my hour and a half commute, turn it up real loud, and sing my ass off happy.gif

I love this song, corny or not...gives me the "happy chills" and puts me in a good mood for a change...very uplifting, and I never say that kind of shit about songs...

If everyone listened to Loves Shines and Wouldn't It Be Nice (Beach Boys) every morning when they rolled out of bed, the world would be a better place...

I'm gonna go throw up now

This song has gotten a lot of grief, but it's actually one of my 5 favorite songs on SFBM. Nice message, good beat, very catchy, and very uplifting.

Or how about "It's amazing how they come to see the little swami with his bowl to eat, sweet feet, little swami only wears a sheet"? That is pretty terrible. Yet everyone on this board seems to love SS and hate BOP and SFBM. Go figure.
