Quarantine Stream Options

Quarantine sucks without Līve.

My hope with this thread, is to bounce around some ideas Līve could do for a “Quarantine Stream,” as many artists are currently doing right now. What could they do to break the monotony, and give fans something to look forward to? Be specific, the possibilities are endless and are not just tied to tiny desk concerts. Maybe they will see it, and grant a wish. (Yes, you might notice I’m being a little facetious here, but I’m a little bored).

I’ll start... for a quarantine stream, I’d like to see Ed perform an acoustic 10,000 Years. I’d also like to see PAT (when is the last time any of us heard him talk?!) show us his vinyl collection (I just know he has to have one!).

I think the band is together for the money, puts in the minimum effort, and Chad G and Pat still don't care for Ed.

I wonder if part of the reunion agreement is that Ed isn’t allowed to perform solo.

And right now, it isn’t smart for the band to perform together.

Hopefully the guys and their families are doing well.

You might be right about an agreement of Ed performing solo to make some money, but this situation is different. Also, what about posting on social media outside of Līve? He doesn’t do that anymore, and I’m telling you, something is really odd about that. In example, another artist I follow, posted a pic the other day of a view from a hillside. He had taken a hike to get out of his house. It doesn’t have to be anything music related. Just a “what’s up” to the fans, “hope you’re washing your hands” kind of thing.

Also, none of the guys have to be together to quarantine stream. I wouldn’t want them to risk anything either. They can do separate things. When’s the last time we heard from Chad T.? He can’t stream a guitar solo?

None of it makes sense. Artists need to make money. Līve doesn’t work to stay relevant, which doing so, makes you money. It’s strange as heck & I’m trying to figure it out. I’m leaning towards LiveForNow’s opinion. Maybe they still really can’t stand each other, and hate being a band.

Might I add, if it’s the case they are unhappy, then
A) Retire or
B) At least be real with the fans, and admit it. No more of the fake bullshit. Fans don’t deserve that. Just tell us their agreement (separate buses, because I can’t stand so-and-so, etc), and then fans can decide for themselves what they want to do.

It makes absolutely no sense. It’s as if they go out of their way to interact with fans as little as possible. They are definitely the exception in they have put no effort over the last month or so to contribute anything artistically/motivation. Other bands are putting out performances, old songs, new songs and these guys just disappear. Bizarre.

I'd love to hear something too, and I agree the total radio silence is odd, but so are circumstances. Idk, maybe they're negotiating a digital release via email, or going back and forth about what to do, and they just haven't got there yet. Maybe one of them is sick or has a sick family member. I'm trying to give them a little leeway, just because everything is so f'd up right now.

What a coincidence, (or not! Just kidding ), Freaks4Live tweets a picture from last tour a little over an hour ago. I wonder who runs the band’s main account and website for them? I still have concern about the silence from the individual band members, notably Ed. san_sao, I truly hope it’s not that he does have a sick family member.

when ed and chad did that college radio interview the first time we saw them back together, Ed said he was jumping right back into his solo work after the reunion

Makes perfect sense. They're willing to make money only if it's worth the effort. Playing gigs is worth it. Nothing else really is to them.

Not asking the band to do a live stream together. I’m asking the band members to communicate during this time with their fans. They can still be creative as a band, even remotely. Just read this from Bret Michaels/Poison... a contest to give a fan a thousand dollars.

It looks like F4L has been tweeting fairly consistently. I don't have Twitter or Facebook, so I don't really see much there unless somebody shares a link or it turns up on Instagram or the website.
