If this has been asked already I apologize. I did a search and looked thru the forum but could not find the answer.

Does anyone know the typestyle for the Main Logo?

Im forming a Tribute band for Live and would like to use that typestyle in the name if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

On a side not has anyone heard of or seen any tribute acts of Live? ive done some searching and cant really find any> then again doing a search for Live on any search engine is tricky without it bringing up all kinds of stuff that isn't for the actual band "live"

Thanks in advance!

Mike

I believe there is a Live cover band in the York area that goes by the name Evil.

There were some folks with tribute projects in the Facebook group, I think.

I saw a band called The Sacred Smarties that performed Throwing Copper in its entirety (plus other tracks) a couple of months ago in Perth, Australia. It's not the only band they cover though.

There is a group in Montreal called Rattkesnake +Live+ Tribute band.

zmanpga (a poster in this forum) also has a band that covers live.

Re: the font. I don't know if all the letters of the alphabet are available for the main Live logo font.

I've posted some info about fonts in this thread:
Album cover fonts

There's a Dutch coverband playing LIVE, http://www.livetribute.nl

Wrt typefaces; the Live is made out of superimposed photo's of the band members on top of a normal font (which I know the name of). If you want to identify it, you might want to fill the letters first and have some online tool recognise it.
