Damn, there is a setlist posted in the story and these guys are playing 27 song concerts. Live is playing half of a Smashing Pumpkins show every night. Bush and Live combined are only playing 26 songs.

There's a link to the article for anyone who cares about the concussion.

I follow Billy on Instagram and he really communicates well with his fans. Every few days he'll open his account up to questions and then answer about 50 questions from fans. He does get a bit narky at times but he's been doing this for months.

The Smashing Pumpkins (Billy in particular) is prolific. Hundreds of songs, 2-3 hour shows, extensive and wide variety of setlists (still fans want more! LOL), lots of releases. Unfortunately I'm not a big Smashing Pumpkins fan so it's something I can't fully enjoy.

I'd hate to be any promoter who tells Billy what songs to play! surrender.gif

The title of that article and this thread is really misleading. Sounds like a minor mishap.

On the subject of the actual discussion, the Smashing Pumpkins are outperforming/outclassing Live by a long shot. I prefer peak Live to peak Smashing Pumpkins, though I enjoy a wider breadth of Pumpkins music than Live music.

Billy has been constantly writing new music and their concert setlists are packed with songs

Never a Smashing Pumpkins fan, but I totally have respect for Billy and band, more so after reading this. And to think, last year it was rumored Līve and Smashing Pumpkins were going to tour together. Easy now to see why our lazy band going on the road with them didn’t come to fruition.

Anyone who knows Smashing Pumpkins knows that Billy is a freaking maniac, and as a close fan you are in for a lifetime of bullshit from Billy. He's like Live in that his performances are a completely watered down version of back when he rocked, and he hasn't really written anything decent in well over 10-15 years. But he will still put on marathon setlists with a good amount of switching up the setlists over the years, and making new live renditions of songs frequently.
