Didn't take long!

Groupon tickets are back for this years Bush and Live summer tour. Just checked and my local venue and tickets are only $25 dollars each (that is the final price - no fees will be added) for lawn. The same tickets for the local show end up at $46.50 after fees through the box office. Last year for Counting Crows and Live these tickets went quick. They were only available for a few days.

Information below:

Highlights

Two alt-rock giants celebrate the 25th anniversary of their respective breakthrough albums: Sixteen Stone and Throwing Copper

Bush & +LIVE+ – The ALT-IMATE Tour
The ALT-IMATE Tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of two landmark albums that helped propel the alternative-rock movement of the mid ’90s: Bush’s Sixteen Stone and +LIVE+’s Throwing Copper.

Bush
Their ascension in rock: Since forming in London in 1992, this Gavin Rossdale–led band has sold almost 20 million albums in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’re also currently riding a hot streak of 18 consecutive Top 40 singles on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, 6 of which rocketed to No. 1.

Their breakthrough album: Their 1994 debut, Sixteen Stone, went platinum six times and dominated the radio airwaves with monster hits including “Everything’s Zen,” “Comedown,” “Machinehead,” “Little Things,” and the No. 1 blockbuster “Glycerine.”

After Sixteen Stone: Bush added more platinum-selling albums to their catalog, including 1996’s Razorblade Suitcase and 1999’s The Science of Things. After a hiatus that saw Gavin Rossdale release the smash hit single, “Love Remains The Same,” Bush reunited with 2011’s The Sea of Memories and picked up where they left off, playing to packed venues around the world.

What’s on the horizon: The band is currently working on the followup to 2017’s Black and White Rainbows, which People magazine hailed as a “triumphant return.”

+LIVE+
Their impact: Playing with both fire and emotional heart, the York, Pennsylvania band spent much of the ’90s delivering alt-rock classic after alt-rock classic, selling more than 22 million albums in the process.

Their breakthrough album: 1994’s Throwing Copper went platinum eight times, captivating the masses with the hits “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” and “All Over You.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was listed on “1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative’s Greatest Year” in Rolling Stone.

Their continued momentum: Following the success of Throwing Copper, the band released the double-platinum Secret Samadhi (1997) and the platinum-selling The Distance to Here (1999), which helped transition their live shows from arenas to stadiums.

Their latest release: 2018’s five-song EP, Local 717, features their first new music in over a decade. Rolling Stone hailed the first single “Love Lounge” as “thunderous.”

Also Appearing

Our Lady Peace: Although they’ve sold millions of albums over the past two decades, the hard-hitting trio behind “Superman’s Dead” and “Somewhere Out There” plays like a band reborn as they rip through a catalog of hits.

Pretty sure every show is on there, it probably depends on your location settings. Just picked up mine for Rochester Hills.

Yep, you're right. For some reason Groupon thinks I'm in Chicago.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been going back and forth on whether to get lawn seats or to spend more and get better seats. I got the lawn seats at DTE last year and kind of wished I had gotten better tickets, though that Groupon deal was hard to pass up on, and so is this one.

Any idea how this venue is compared to DTE? Are the lawn seats closer to the stage or is it the same overall set up as DTE is?

The venue is smaller and so is the lawn. It's been a few years since I've been there but I remember the lawn being closer and better than DTE. Definitely not as big of a hill. DTE lawn was tore up late year, it was a mud slide.

The music sounds the same from the lawn and the seats but the price is different. September weather in Michigan is usually really nice bit its always a dice roll though.

It's all in how you want to spend your entertainment dollars. If you check my board signature you'll see I've been there. I've been front row for Live multiple times. I've been backstage and met them. I've talked to Ed in the crowd as he watched an opening band before they went on. For me it's not a big deal. If I hadn't had these experiences I'd probably feel different. To me, this isn't Live in their prime. I'll hear the music just fine from anywhere in the venue.

I have other interests. Lions season tickets, a pass to Greenfield Village, going to things like Hamilton (etc) , flying to Hawaii again this year, taking kids to Disney again ..... . I want to see Live but I'm willing to scale back there for other things. I could spend $1000 for two front row tickets but I'd rather spend $50 on this and put the rest elsewhere. I'll have plenty of fun regardless.

If you want to be close once and haven't had that chance I'd say go for it.

So the faster they sell on Groupon the more the tickets cost. 280 tickets have sold to the Rochester Hills show in one day so they're now going for $30.
