We either hear the first new song from ECCP in nine years or have to keep waiting. Come on! Let's hear those new 5 or 6 songs already.

Looks like The Tea Party are only playing 9 tracks (including a new track) so there will be plenty of time for Live to play an extensive setlist.

You’re right! According to my calculations, we here in the States should know by 5 A.M. or so (central time) if they played new songs. First thing I’m doing in the morning after brushing my teeth is coming here to FoL! bounce.gif

Okay... to avoid being sorely disappointed, I will now avoid the internet, go about my morning routines and just go on to work.

What is the dealio with not playing new material?!

Then why did they mention having 5-8 news songs and being eager to play their new songs in concert asap on every single one of the past dozen Australian interviews?

Ed and Chad have been doing this in every interview for a year.

So, for whatever reason they’re not playing a new song (fear? shrug.gif ), what about replacing I Am the Highway with Spew or some other rarity? No offense to Cornell & fans, but c’mon.

I’m happy Iris and TBD made it in and cheers to Aussies who enjoyed the show.

I agree. There is no excuse to not play a new song or deep track at the point.

Agreed! Ditch the covers in favor of something they haven't played in awhile. 10,000 Years is pretty damn relevant right now, bust it out! As for a new song, I almost feel like they want a professional recording released first instead of some lame concert recording from someone's phone. But, if that's the case then release a song already. What is the hold up?! This band makes me mental sometimes!

You may be right Heather, I never thought of it. Their first new music release in 10 years, and they want full control over it. Makes sense.

In recent interviews Ed has said that the Australian shows will basically be the same as the shows from December but then he goes on to say that there's a possibility of new songs being played.

QUOTE
Will we get a chance to hear some of this new material on this tour?

Possibly, we’re still fleshing some of it out. A couple of new ones we haven’t even played in the studio yet. But we might, we’re excited to put a couple in there, we’ll see…

+Live+ Still Alive - Interview with Ed Kowalczyk, XPress Magazine

QUOTE
+LIVE+are on their way back back to headline the Adelaide 500 as well as shows in Sydney and Perth! You guys must love us to come back so soon after December. What can your fans expect from your upcoming shows?

We are going to do basically the same show we did on the last trip to Australia. Expect upwards of two hours of all our ‘hits’ and a few covers that we have been doing. We do our version of Johnny Cash's I Walk The Line and Audioslave's I Am The Highway in honour of Chris Cornell. It's possible we will get one of our new songs in there as well.
