Just being honest and sharing my current thoughts:

I think the direction Ed has gone with his new music gets worse with every release. To me his solo work is turning into a dumpster fire. I don't care for the acoustic act but I can live with the full band show (although it is not even close to the real act) because he plays some of the old stuff. When Ed comes out with new music I'll try it again and hope that it doesn't suck.

The new Live is alright but I'm really just not into it and have no desire to see them or hear more new music. I will not go to a concert or buy ano th er album. I like the direction they are taking the sound but I just don't care for Shinn. His vocal habits are annoying and there is nothing special about his voice. With him they sound like another generic band.

At some point I hope that the original lineup comes back together to tour with hits and to work on a new album as a team. That would be awesome, but not counting on that happening.

Still enjoy my old concerts and albums, just wish there was more to look forward to from the original four.

When was the last time he released a record that didn't suck?

I just watched their full performance in Columbus and it blew me away. I would gladly pay a lot of money to see them. I also won't mind another album.

I like Shinn's voice. I find I'm still listening to and liking the Turn, and I'm hoping for another album. I liked and bought a few tracks from Ed's last album. Nothing grips me like back in the day, from either camp, but I have some appreciation for each.

I'm wondering what Live's deal is. Three tour dates scheduled for the rest of the year - something like 7, 8 total for 2015? Are there any plans for another album? Are they still a functioning band?

Didn't Gracey mention making another album?

It seems like Live just keep adding shows periodically

Yeah he mentioned recording a new live album next year. I wonder if they are ever going to actually tour like chad t said they would. Sirens call is supposedly going to be released as a single, so maybe they are preparing for that in some way? I just want to see them perform here in Michigan...

What did Chad T saying about their touring? All I ever heard is that there would be a tour, and so far they're playing a handful of shows in America, Australia, and Europe, and maybe more shows added later on. Sounds like they're sticking to the plan.

I just remember hearing chad put an emphasis on touring and how that is what "makes" the band, or something to that effect. I guess I just envisioned more tour dates. Not big shows or anything, but I figured they would play a lot of smaller venues. I know nothing about the logistics of touring so I dunno.

I very much agree and hope for the miracle of reunitement also. But even with the old albums, I am SO BORED right now. I wish they'd release a box set or something. Go all the way back to Public Affection on it and give us some clean copies of Cheetah & Hold Me Up. Something, anything before I die of this boredom.

Fuck Public Affection, they drifted from their original sound and were sell outs by that point. First Aid all the way!

The same guys who said there would be another TGF album....this reminds me a lot of Fuel when Brett Scallions left the band....they got a new singer, put out one album....and that was that.

Live should have died years ago. TGF was a solid band and I love the album, I wish they would have continued down that path. And this is coming from someone who doesn't mind The Turn. It isn't a bad album. But it's not Live. Live is dead. Eddie K can suck it, I don't want him back either. Release deluxe editions of all the albums. DOAD on CD plus outtakes. Mental Jewelry plus demos/Born Branded. Throwing Copper + all those b-sides + MTV Unplugged DVD. Secret Samadhi with a live album. Distance To Here with the original album/outtakes. V, who knows, I guess it would be 20 versions of Overcome? Birds of Pray would have the Voorst show, since they didn't beat that one completely to death already. SFBM should come with a giant plastic turd and some Eddie K coffee.

"SFBM should come with a giant plastic turd and some Eddie K coffee."

So, like two bags of Ed's coffee?
