Didn't Chad's blog indicate it was a major radio station, whether he is correct or not?

Based on their playlist from today, they are a bit alt rock and a heavy dose of edgier A/C...but "oldies"??? I don't hear or see any Buddy Holly songs............

Radio and Record WYSR-FM Rankings

They're pretty low on the list.

Is that a bad thing? I mean, look, they are in rotation in LA on a station that receives a 1.5 share in a market where the top station only has a 4.9 share. Other A/C station sit no higher than a 3.5 share. here in the Twin Cities, the top music stations regularly score in the 8 and 9 range. The fact that the market is so big, and has the unique demographic of large Hispanic stations means that in a way, these #'s are irrelevant.

As I look at the playlists of the stations in the A/C range and alt rock range, stations like WPLJ in NYC or Cities 97 here in the Twin Cities, Star 98.7 is the only station that is actually similar. One of the LA stations is a "Jack" station, another is more 70's and 80's and still another is basically lite rock. Star 98.7 is probably the leading station for its format in LA

Fair enough, any add is a good thing. Good info though Mets, that was interesting. There is one that does nationally ranked radio stations in terms of listeners too if I'm remembering right. I remember during BOP that people were calling in to the biggest markets and such in order to get Heaven airplay. I get the feeling Mystery may not need as much promotion, at least from us.
