Was actually questioning myself: should i do this?
i decided to stream the album, because i can't wait for the cd release.

Right now, i'm giving The Turn my first try. I hope the songs we've not heard before will surprise me.

Just finished Listening to it all the way through. On first listen I like it alot, here's what i thought:

__ A lot more experimental than i would have thought.

__ It had alot of that +Live+ feeling to it for sure.

__ Chris Shinn has range and he is very passionate, loved the vocals for the most part.

__ This album WILL grow on me, i can tell from first listen.

Here is my "first listen" song by song rating

1. Siren's Call 8/10
2. Don’t Run to Wait 7/10
3. Natural Born Killers 9/10
4. 6310 Rodgerton Dr. 10/10
5. By Design 8/10
6. The Way Around Is Through 7/10
7. Need Tonight 9/10
8. The Strength to Hold On 9/10
9. We Open the Door 8/10
10. He Could Teach the Devil Tricks 7/10
11. Till You Came Around 7/10

Just an early opinion, will probably change i'm sure!

Just listened, the album sounds little if nothing like Live from any era.

-Not a fan of the extra long intros, fade outs, and jam sessions. Way too many instruments without vocals for long stretches. White Discussion was special because it happened once on the album. These happen on nearly every song and for me it grew tiresome.

-No song really stood out on first listen as a song I would want to go back to listen to. We Open The Door may actually be my favorite of the songs through the listen though.

-I typically love the slower songs from Live(Turn My Head, Dance With You), but the closer from this album is very weak. The Gracious Few's slower songs were much better, and there were more of them.

-Just not my thing, but I'm sure CCP fans will be happy to have new music.

This is what Live fans have been longing for. This music isn't meant for the current-Ed lovers out there. Ed's burnt out wanna-be girly voice became a tired act and alienated just about every original Live fan.

So move along.

True, I'd never guess it was Live.

I expected Siren's Call would be the only track that really hit home. I still feel that way. It's a good track. The rest of the album ranges from OK to pretty good, after first listen.

I kinda like "he could teach the devil tricks." Rogerton doesn't sound all that great to me.

Hoping the turn may grow on me some more.

Why did you bother listening? You disliked it before even listening to it - this is called bias. So drop it and go listen Ed's stuff.

The majority of fans on here and White Discussion have some sort of bias for or against.
