Thanks a lot, have seen this before but still amazing.
DVD Quality ??
The max resolution I see is 480, which IMO is not DVD.
But still nice to see.

720 x 480 (NTSC) and 720 x 576 (PAL) are both valid DVD resolutions. Also, it looks like the video has been stretched from 4:3 to 16:9 which is unfortunate.

Dangum,
Didn't know the 480 was NTSC and DVD.
Downloaded the file, as mentioned always good to see LIVE.

Interesting... both vids seem to be new digital sources. The previous VHS ones had the beginning of Shit Towne missing, as they cut to another stage with some big doofus giving the mic to bigger doofuses in the crowd to say 'hey, what's up Woodstock?"

I think I just hit the jackpot. I was reading through the uploader's comments and somebody mentioned that he got the video from ConcertVault.com.

Anyway, I signed up for an account at ConcertVault.com and found the Live Woodstock performance and started downloading it. 220 megabytes later I start playing it expecting it to be the whole show. Nope! It's just Where Fishes Go! It's encoded at 4.9Mbps with audio at 256kbps. Looks unbelievable!

I'm off to download the rest. I think say you can safely ditch any VHS or DVD copies you may have around because this looks like the definitive version.

I've finished downloading the tracks. All up 1.89 GB. I've noticed that Ed's comments in between tracks are sometimes cut. For example in between I Alone and Lightning Crashes Ed talks about JFK Junior and Woodstock 1969 but it's missing from this new version.

I'm currently uploading the ripped MP4 files to Mediafire.

Keep and eye on this link, more videos will be added throughout the night.

I've recently upgraded my Mediafire account. I now have 1TB of storage and able to upload much larger files. I think there are no ads either (but you should still be using the AdBlock Plus addon if you've got Firefox or Chrome)

http://www.mediafire.com/?39oqomwl852mb

Some technical details about the videos:

Resolution: 640 x 480 (4:3)
Video Codec: MPEG-4 AVC
Audio Codec: AAC
Video Bitrate: 4832kbps
Audio Bitrate: 256kbps 48Hz
FPS: 29.970

I've also been able to join all the tracks together (no re-encoding) as an MP4 file. I also created an MKV file (no re-encoding) and added chapter points. If there's interest I can post instructions on how to join or just upload the file. Let me know.
