Here is a 3 part interview with Ed Kowalczyk that was made by the team at FaceCulture.

If you've seen previous FaceCulture interviews then you'll know how good they are.

I love these face culture interviews the guy who does them is brilliant.

Couple thing;

Immediately my suspicions that Seven is about liVes breakup i believe are confirmed by Ed's over the top denial - "way too literal" he says...its ok to b honest Ed.

It sounds like Peter buck just wanted to write all over Ed's music rather then collaborate he just took over...

Why is Ed's body language so evasive and his confidence so low? He has performed to millions of people, sold millions of records, gathered 4 children & been a successful musician for 20 odd years.

LOOK AT THE CAMERA AND SPEAK TO US WITHOUT DROPPING YOUR HEAD OR SCRATCHING YOUR NOSE.

There is no reason unless he is completely "acting" for Ed's body language to be so poor and his lack of eye contact is almost disturbing - just be urself Ed...

Parasite is meant to be taken literally but seven not so ?!? Comeon.....

Interesting how much thought and angst goes into sequencing and namin for Ed. I guess he does a reasonable job because ive always felt liVe albums flow pretty well.

Exactly that. Ed really looks nothing like the confident 90ies Ed we used to see in interviews. He still tells interesting things, but this isn't the same anymore. He doesn't want to spoil what the songs are about because it loses it impact? Damn, LIVE's music always was universal and everyone felt that without Ed having to tell that in detail. He just doesn't want to talk about the akward moments. Like the last time FaceCulture interviewed him now that was embarrassing.

Jesus, maybe he doesn't act or talk like the Ed from the 90's because he is NOT the same person from when he was then. gee, i wonder why this isn't the same anymore....was only over 15 years ago. Go figure. LOL... WOW. What a stretch.
If you need a musician to tell you what some of thier songs are about in detail then you are just plain ignorant imo.
You say it's universal yet how if he goes into detail about songs it would lose and spoil impact? Dude, what the fuck are you on? lol.
He hates being interviewed and that isn't a bad thing.
Chat T. also hates it. Most musicians hate it. They all scratch their noses and shit during interviews. What's akward there? He is sooo much the better person in all of this. He doesn't want to talk about the bullshit because there is no point. It's over...he's moving on and doing FANTASTIC!!

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Same thing, time after time? That's the point. Not any interviewer asks about it (probably because Ed only agrees to do interviews "when it's about the creative aspects of his songs...." ). Don't you realise this interviewer is one of the very few that tries to adress what happens and what Ed thinks about that. The only thing he can answer is "I want to move on now" and 'I came here to talk about my solo album". FaceCulture always adress they interview about 'the people about the music'. So what's Ed doing there if he don't want to talk about it.
Chad Taylor, another person involved in what happened for example, likes to tell you what happened any moment.

Annoying? Again: because he's the only one that try to adress the truth, he's annoying? Give me one video or interview that tries to adress what's going on. Well...? Exactly!
If you don't think the first part of the 2010 interview is akward ("its so untrue" and "it's so untrue" and "pleeeeease can we move on now " and another "it's so untrue" ) something is really wrong man, haha. Well, just continue like everything's fine. just like Ed does.

Go where? 'Go find the person behind the music?' Well, that's weird, because FaceCulture where Ed went for the 3nd time now, is ALL ABOUT THAT, my friend. 2nd time now need to explain that to you...

You clearly have NO IDEA, do you? Taylor talks about it all the time. On the internet, in interviews, everywhere. He's even writing a book about it, remember. Something that might have been already out and there to read for you, if he wasn't busy with tons of things outside the music industry to do something back for the place he (and Ed...) came from.

How is talking about it all the time AVOIDING THE ISSUE? Get your facts straight. The only thing he might not talk about are the things he's not allowed to... but Ed just talks about nothing at all.
Whty I care what they ask? Because that is what good interviewers and journalist do: asking good questions. You seem to be afraid for good questions and that says a lot. Weak.
