Poor quality recording of "The One".

Some notes:

-New lead guitarist is a big improvement performance wise and Chris the Bass player has also improved quite a bit as a performer. New band seems to be really gelling.

-AC crowd was great.....and Ed seemed to really be having fun.

Great song. Liked the acoustic version, but the full band version is a better fit. Any news on an Aussie release date?

Yeah...Ed's new band definitely is a better fit for Ed's new music than CCP. That drum beat on the second verse is not something Chad Gracey would do. It's just apples and oranges at this point.

I'll go on record as saying i like this song alot; an awful lot....in its acoustic and i believe proper format.

It sounds like "Drive" essentially production wise - which i dont think actually helps the song. When i heard it initially i thought cowboys, western, gritty, dusty & simple. Passionate and expressively played and performed.

Now it sounds as tho Ed still does his thing and a modern band has jumped in behind him and played along. There's no merging of band and song..just song played by band.

Should've been organic sounding; cymbals, rim hits maybe acoustic or stand up bass or straight rock. Not this produced, "perfect modern" sounding disappointing version sad.gif

Here's hoping for other tracks integrity!
