Ed doesn't set the price, the venue does. Ed's acoustic show is awesome and his bass player Chris adds a ton to the performance. I bet you the show sells very well.

Sorry, I think it's funny that I could go see Ed with his full band for free and you have to pay $60 to see him play with his guitar.

Q- I agree. Regardless of who sets the price that's way to much for a small concert, especially for an acoustic show.

facepalm.gif Why do you always insist on throwing that in - As if it matters to a fan?

Now if you want to say the show is good and worth the trip, that''s a reasonable point for discussion.

Intimate venues with lower capacities will generally charge higher prices for a show. If the show sells well at the price, than the price was justified. I think small venue shows are awesome, and I personally don't mind paying a little extra for them.

Sure, the small venue concept sounds good. That's something to discuss and debate.

The point being though - this isn't an econ board and nobody comes here to discuss sales and revenue with you. Why continue to beat a dead horse by bringing it up as if it matters to us is beyond me.

The complaint was about the price point of 60 dollars set by the venue. If the show sells well, the price is justified. If not, it isn't. It is as simple as that.

IMO for the acoustic shows he's doing a good seat should be $35-$30. $48 for balcony is steep.

How in world I can give him a chance with a ticket price non less than 48$? It is 90 minutes from my house, but sorry Ed, you'll find other buyers.

And I'm not sure Ed's managing don't have a word about the ticket price.
