I do not know what about yall my friends, but i am getting tired of a complete fuck-up over at FB.

On the ne hand, could not care less, but on the other hand, dozens of people pop up, saying Ed= Live etc. Why don't we gather the bands that succeeded after changing the vocalist here in this thread to have a wonderful option to answer to any stupid fucker if a "new" question like that appears.

Here is my list

Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Sepultura, Uriah Heep, Lynyrd Skynyrd, INXS, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Gamma Ray, In Flames, Rainbow, Iced Earth, Genesis, Black Sabbath, Smokie, Helloween, Faith No More, Nightwish, Pink Floyd.

Who wants to add?

If we are doing lists of bands that succeeded after changing lead singers can we only put down bands that auctually succeeded. We have listed a few that survived, some that succeeded, and a lot that got a shit load worse. Think live can succeed but these lists we keep making are not inspiring confidence.

Indeed.
Of course, CCCP will not make another Throwing Copper, yes, that's how it is.
But i'm still excited for what will come. It will be a better album than the last 3.

yeah, don't think INXS belong on that list!

AC/DC are the classic but will always love Bon!

I've seen people say numerous times that we shouldn't expect another Throwing Copper, but I don't know why would we be expecting Throwing Copper anyway? If things hadn't changed they'd still be plugging away at the same creative spirit that produced such different sounding albums between MJ, TC, SS, and TDTH. What we'd have gotten next is anyone's guess.

The new singer is awesome but that band is now a nostalgia act.

Nostalgia acts don't create new music. I think your comment would have merit if they weren't recording new songs.

I really dig Journey with Pineda. I love them. ''Revelation'' has become one of my top-10 favorite albums ever.

So by that definition, you can no longer call Ed a nostalgia act?

As far as his relying on the nostalgia of his fans back to his glory years, I'd certainly classify him as a nostalgia act.

I think it's normal to do that. You always play your biggest hits at shows. Live will doing that too, but i'd love to hear some other songs, incl. Mother Earth, Stage, Waitress or Peace Is Now.
