Here's a topic I haven't seen covered in a while. The Live rarities... where are we at now? Has anybody heard any updates on anything - have we discovered any studio cuts of stuff lately? What's the score, folks? I can't believe we're in 2012 and none of us have got a copy of New City.

Where are we at?

The site will launch in a few weeks. This is a really content heavy site and we want to get it just right. Also, the tracks will ship when the site launches. Hope that helps.

Still waiting on the Churchbox tracks myself. Sad thing is that the new music will (quite rightly) take precedence, so I wouldn't expect the old Live rarities to get much love for ages yet. Some day, though.

I will speak on this (and I may contradict a previous post with this one. Deal with it.)

As of now, I am taking the 4 Live songs that were re-recorded that play on www.freaksforlive.com as "the tracks". I am probably wrong but guess what, Live is working and we now have proof they are so suck it up.

Listen...I was one of the first if not THE first person to criticize Live for not delivering on shit they said they would. The reason I was is because I had no evidence to prove they were busy doing something else. Well, guess what, I have learned they were busy doing other things. The "other things" are actually a pretty solid list and one of those things is building a new studio and if that was the ONLY thing it would be enough. They had about 10+ other things on their plate.

This may belong in the Live new studio thread but can you image building a state of the art studio from scratch? Btw, "scratch" = a dump.

So, they finish this studio and we get a clip, FB/Twitter updates, and pics. Folks, I am here to apologize for all the shit I said about never getting anything because the truth is they couldn't give us much without THE STUDIO they envisioned recording from.

Now they have it. Now they give. Now I happy.

As a side note, I wonder if Shinn has heard any of these rare tracks? It would be interesting to know that I'm sure there are some of us here who might have heard more rare stuff than him perhaps? Or did CCP decide to give him everything in the achieves to listen to? Or in his quest to research the band that he's joined would he have asked to even hear all the rare stuff? Just a curious thought.
