Ed's covering John Lennon..again..If Ed could cover any song what song would you like to hear him sing?
I'm on the tail end of a bender so i'm probably a tad optimistic but i'd like to see Ed cover Heartbreak Kid by the classic Aussie band Icehouse..i think the song would suit Ed's voice perfectly..also plenty of downtime in the song for him to swagger and do his starey thing.
I'm sure i'm alone on this pick but what would you guys choose?

I actually think the Lennon song he is covering fits Ed's voice well. I'd love to see him do an Elton John cover at some point.

I'd love him to do a RuPaul impersonification for It's Raining Men.

A Rammstein or a Iron Maiden cover would be awesome.

Yeah, no thanks. Don't want him slaughtering Icehouse tunes. And his starey thing and other weird antics just creep me out now.

The problem with Ed covering songs is he makes the song about him. He has no idea what the songs mean or the inspiration behind the song.

He used to. He used to care and want to understand.

But, to stay on topic, I'd like to hear him cover "Lightning Crashes" by the band Live.

As somebody waiting to hear the EP I was disappointed to hear about a cover.

No full album and a cover on an EP. Maybe the well is finally dry.

I was expecting a 4 song EP. The cover is a nice bonus 5th song.

Wrong. The cover on an EP is a gimmick. It screams "My music won't grab people so I am going to cover a popular song because I am hoping people who already like the song will like my cover and buy my album."

I wonder what it will sound like. TGF have covered Depeche Mode with their unique sound and did a wonderful job with it. I expect to see that on a future release.

If I hear how Ed does this cover, then I'll judge if his cover song on an EP is an attempt at what you say WD.
