Right now am watching a friendly of Netherlands VS N.Ireland and I am so high on emotions, that I decided to start this thread.

Who's in? Of course, I am supporting my national team, and Netherlands being a close second. Will try to watch most of the matches.

It's the best match of the Netherlands so far in the friendly matches. Netherlands vs Bulgary (i think that's the English name for 'Bulgarije' but i'm not sure) was awful.

But to be honest, Germany will win Euro 2012. They have the best team. If Germany will not win, it will be Spain.

I hope my country will beat them all and become the Champion, but i don't think they are better than Germany and Spain.

And Ed, i think Russia will play a good Euro 2012. They really have some good players. They will become the leader in Group A.

I'm excited about Euro 2012. I'm a huge football fan and i will watch as many matches as possible.

I doubt Germany will make it. I have always enjoyed their individual skills, but as a national team after 1996 (when theybecame the champions and Bierhof was playing his first championship) they started sucking. Anyway, never liked them.

I used to support England and Holland long before I came to realisation that I could support Russia as well. And the spirit of supporting only came to life after we defeated the Dutch in 2008. But after that it all came back to nothingness and I am pretty surprised that we will take part in Euro. Although, a good half of our national team is from my club so it is all good tongue.gif

2008 was awful. The daughter of our right defender, Khalid Boulahrouz, died. 2 days later they've played against your country. The players were very emotional. I was really sick of it. We defeated Italy and France. We deserved to win Euro 2008.

But, outside of that, Russia always have a good team.

I'd bet Germany will win. they simple have the best team and the best individual skills. Spain misses 2 important players, Villa and Puyol.

But i just hope to see some good matches. I've always watched every match on a World Cup or European Cup.

I've never seen Germany in 1996. I was only 2 years old then. I've only heard about Euro 96 and that stupid Seedorf (you know, the player who always missed penalties).

Zenit have some good players. I've enjoyed Zenit when they won the UEFA Cup (not sure which year that was). They always have some good players in it.

The Dutch team only have 1 player from my club (Ron Vlaar from Feyenoord Rotterdam, UEFA Cup winner in 2002.)

you are from Rotterdam? Nice modern city if you ask me.

I am not that into football outside my club you know. I hardly even watch other matches in Russia. But I alwys am enjoying the EURO and World Cup.

We never had a good team btw. Only in 1960, when we were the European champions. Second best thing was in 2008. Other than that we are rarely in the championship and if we are, we never are out of the group hehe

I live close to Rotterdam, but i'm not from Rotterdam. My family is from Rotterdam. That's why i love Feyenoord. My own city don't have a good football club. They had one, but were bankrupted in 1989. Now they only have amateur football clubs.

Never had a good team? come on, in 2004 they had a good team. They didn't make it to the quarter final, but Spain had a difficult time against Russia. I agree with you that 2008 was good. I really enjoyed players like Arshavin and Timochyuk (or how the hell you write his name). Arshavin was one of my favorites in 2008.

I really enjoy World Cups and European Cups. WC 2010 was really beautiful, till the final. I've cried for about two weeks. I was really depressive when we lost that match. I hope they don't have a stupid octopus this time, haha.

But what do you expect from countries like Italy, England and France? I hope they will do it better than in 2010. I expect that England will come into the semi finals. I really think England could be the big suprise of Euro 2012.

I'll be supporting England and, after that, I really do like the Netherlands (Dirk Kuyt is my hero, yo).

We're going into it with lower expectations than usual. As long as no players from my club (Liverpool) get injured or have torrid times I'll be happy.

Always supported Holland since I watched my 1st Euro's in 1988 as a kid! Plus, back then they had Rijkaard, Van Basten and Gullit!

Goes without saying that Dennis Bergkamp is an all-time favourite of mine since his Ajax Amsterdam days. It's a shame he never won a major international competition with Holland as that Dutch team of 1993/4 - 2000 was pretty good:

Including Van Der Sar, Blind, Koeman, Davids, Seedorf, Kluivert, Bergkamp, Makaay, Cocu, Overmars, Jonk, Van Hooijdonk etc. What a great side!

Gonna be supporting them again this year, but I think Germany, Croatia, Czech Rep and Russia will be good too.

Another outside shot for the cup is the co-host Poland. Dark horses for sure as they have some talent and will surprise a few people, especially being the co-host nation.

Well I am a Dutchie.... I like football, but I don't support a club....still I prefer Ajax (Sorry AOM) but my main focus on football is every Dutch team that comes out in the UEFA and the Championsleague.

ofcourse the WC and EC are always in my book to watch.

My predictions for the EC are Spain / Germany / Holland to become the European Champion this year.

Outsiders are: France / Russia / England

Fail...xD
than he must be Ukrainian.
Always thought he was Russian.
I really thought Arshavin and Timochyuk played together in the first team of Russia.
I must been mistaken.

Dirk Kuyt, one of my heroes too.
He played for my club and went to Liverpool.
Kuyt is a very good team player. He never does anything stupid.
I don't think he will play much. Van Marwijk still prefer Affelay to play on the position of Kuyt.

We're not so good in penalties.
