Hey, Ed's a pretty smart guy, so he thinks anyway. He seems like a very intelligent person to seek out the meaning of it all. So here's the rub.......Live is a paradox in terms of success, popularity, their deep brotherly bond which allowed their music to transcend the masses. The music in their early years, the collaboration of true brothers!!! Ah it was great. Maybe as the Thrill says....door's open, but the prodigal son must go through his life trials to see where he may have messed up. The New Live will approach us with much skepticism, but I think open minds will find what they're looking for. I wanted to take a glance over Live's history of popularity and success, and mix in the hidden variable which ultimately did in this brotherhood. I took to a little scientific research and figured it all out!!! I wish I had a sacrafont....but here goes.

Excellent work my friend, this could be an early front runner for post of the year so far. Maybe someday the prodigal son will return to the family, but for now we all must focus on the here and now and that is what the 3 remaining members of LIVE will be doing and what EK will be doing if you so choose.

Well, I have....and Just like many moons ago when I told people they WOULDNT be dissapointed with The Gracious Few....YOU WONT be dissapointed with ANYTHING that comes out from Chad, Chad & Pat.
You will be BLOWN AWAY. I know, I know, people will be skeptical. Just like they where a few years ago when TGF came out. But lets be honest. I was correct that album is amazing!

I understand that this board uses that "Prodigal Son" term as a rip on Ed; trying to say that he will eventually 'see the error of his ways and return back to the only 3 people that can make him great agian in their eyes, yadda yadda etc,' but the prodigal son doesnt return home to his 'family.' He returns to his Father. Who has not replaced him. And accepts him with a bountiful feast, and open, loving arms. The older brother, however, is angry and jealous at his Father's reaction to the return of his younger son.

For me, there is truth in that. I very much enjoyed most of the music on the album. Was not the biggest fan of the vocals, or even of some of the lyrics. YMMV

Moron because he didnt like the sound of something? Moron because he thinks some other people out there agree with his opinion?

Didn't TGF sell roughly what Ed did without milking the Live train? How did Grace do on radio? Appetite? The listeners that pushed it to the top of the charts sure liked it.
