In an interview with The Backstage Beat, Ed has confirmed that he will be touring with Jars of Clay in 2012. He also mentioned that he has plans to tour Europe in the Summer time and then he's going back into the studio to record a followup album.

Ed will also be touring the US a bit this summer. According to Pollstar, a free show at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut is already confirmed for July 19th. The tour with Jars of Clay will be rev'd up acoustic.

wolf den at Mohegan eh? Well....that speaks volumes. venues getting smaller and smaller. Actually it's a 2 walled open space / bar with a 15 foot stage. The 'lounge act' prophecy is dead on.

The Wolf Den is an awesome venue that tons of artists play each year. The key is that Ed is still touring, while The Gracious Few is not. New LIVE may start touring in 2012, but as of now, they are a total non-factor.

Sour grapes?

Why is that? Ed solo in the US should be playing under 500 seat venues. There is nothing new about that. It was the same deal for The Gracious Few. New LIVE may be able to intially go larger, just because of having rights to the name LIVE.

Are TGF still playing that show in March?

Yes, they are playing THAT SHOW IN MARCH.

LIVE is LIVE, rights to the name belong to the COMPANY, who which OWNS IT and FOREVER SHALL OWN IT.

LIVE is about the MUSIC and the feelings the MUSIC gives the LISTENER/CONCERT GOER. Not WHO is MORE IMPORTANT.

one thing about the venue thing......how was the Musikfest show? Someone was hoping to fill 1000 seats.

I don't believe that Ed expected to fill 1000 seats, he just wanted a standing show instead of a seated one.

The Musikfest show was great though, really awesome crowd and performance.

Are LIVE going to refund Homespun members who rejoined last year for the Churchbox session holiday gift and instead got leftover merchandise from the 90's?

sour grapes?

never heard the official word that a holiday gift was owed to folks last year when band was on official hiatus. I got the leftover 90's stuff too. I wasn't bitching about it.
