So recently I saw that someone uploaded probably one of my favorite live performances of a song by any band ever onto youtube. It was on a DVD but just never made it onto youtube, so it was a nice find to see it there. It's "I'll be your Johnny on the Spot" by Ween, and it's just magic. If for nothing else other than the jam in the middle of the song.
Probably my favorite guitar solo of all time, the intensely fast drumming setting the pace, the thumping bass, the keyboards keeping up, it's fast paced and fun and so god damn tight to perfection. It just shows off what a hugely talented band Ween really is and how great they are live. I highly recommend checking it out.
So here it is:

And this brings up the question, what are some of your favorite all time videos of songs done live. What do you think was done and captured to perfection that you can share?

I came across this performance only recently and I just can't stop watching it... It's a live performance of Baba O'Reilly (The Who) from the early 70's. My favourite part of the song is at 1:50 when Pete Townsend comes in on guitar.

Not entirely a "live" performance as far as having an audience but still I love it. I am a big fan of when bands do good covers.

Skid Row- Piece of Me SNL 1991

This old thread deserves a bump up. I could post 100's of my favorite live performances.
This one's one of mine because it blew the roof off of SNL, Sebastian's just a beast, and the best part.... the head banging hair flying at the end. rockin.gif

Have always loved this band. If memory serves me right, this stellar performance initiated MTV unplugged.
