... if what ? Complete the sentence.

For me, I'd love to hear a 2-CD release. Disc 1 will be all new LIVE material, and Disc 2 will be all the unreleased songs (I.E Hold Me Up)

Ahh, I can dream. Doubt they would plan to do this. There is so much speculation about the new LIVE, namely what the new sound will be like and what unreleased songs will we get to hear. I say, do both. Let's hear new stuff AND unreleased stuff. Give the people what they want thumbsup.gif

This sounds wonderful and would easily be my most anticipated release from any band in a long time.

It doesn't completely suck balls.

Seriously, my standards are that low after the last Live release.

For CCP to suck that bad would be like Chuck Norris ceasing to be Chuck Norris. It's just not going to happen.

Any of the following would be great:

- There isn't one "la de da" on the record.

- None of the songs involve a direct or indirect reference to Jesus, unless such reference questions his authenticity and/or one's blind faith in Christianity.

- None of the songs have a chorus that sounds like something the house band would sing at a high school prom.

- Ed Kowalczyk was involved, but he was singing like a man AND the liner notes included an apology from him.

- Jim Wirt, Shelby Lynne and Chris Daughtry are not present the studio.

If Shelby Lynne is involved naked, I can deal with it.

LOL at +ed+

I would like the record to have a grittier sound than TGF's record did. I imagine the new material will be edgy and dark, and it would be awesome for the production to really compliment that. That absolutely gritty sound is something the band hasn't had since TC.

Just so I don't get stoned for that one, TDTH was a great production that really fit the album. SS was an amazing album but the production was too clean to me. Still love it though.

...i heard it on the radio and the song grabbed me by the throat and made me submit to its power. Because that's the experience i had with lightning crahses all those years ago, not knowing who the fuck was making me feel that way! One can only dream

I just want it to be Live again, not the Live-lite shit that we had to suffer through from pretty much 2000 and on.

If it makes me feel something special. Moves something deep in me. That I still listen to in 2031 like I still listen to MJ in 2011. That has an edge to it, that the new voice has character and uniqueness to it.
I'm honestly just open to whatever they do, I'm trying not to have any preconceived notions about how it'll be, just hoping for the best and hoping to be blown away.

We are asking for what we know they are capable of and we are asking to not be completely let down again.

I like the 2 CD idea, or if that can't be done then some "bonus" songs that are some of the unreleased songs.

I hate to say we "deserve" anything but c'mon; we stuck with Live through V, BoP, SFBM, and the hiatus. We supported TGF (most of us anyway) and Ed (yes, we give him shit but most of us own a copy of Alive and I will buy his new album too).

Surely we can get a handful of unreleased songs that we have been searching for and hoping for with every Holiday gift (that we got for paying for a membership) over the last decade.

Then again, I can see it not happening because new Live may not want to have people comparing their new stuff to Hold Me Up. I mean, that is a tough battle to win.
