Time to get rid of all of the Ed shit. It's time to move on.

This is a Fans of Live website not a shrine to Ed.

Ed's moved on, Live's moved on - and we don't need photo's of Ed, info on Ed, Ed fans or Ed's crap.

Fans of Live - not fans of Live plus "a little bit of space for that guy who used to sing for them".

I'm fine to have the history and the "archives" but I'm sick of seeing this guy's face and I'm sick of hearing his name.

Bring on the new Live. Bring on the future. Cya Ed.

I can understand why you don't need to see Ed anymore as he doesn't represent Live's future. But Ed will ALWAYS be a part of Live man. Just not anno 2011.

Insomnia's right. Live have a past as well as a future and like it or not Ed is a part of that. And as long as he's singing Live hits at his shows, you could argue he's still relevant to the board bomb.gif

I see it from both sides. Ed is certainly what Live was but he is not moving forward.

Once the new lead singer is announced, I think Dangum should edit the art and images around the site so that it is the new lead singer with CCP.

As much as I despise the way things all went down with Ed, he will always be a huge part of what Live was. You can't take anything away from what he accomplished, especially with the first 4 albums. It sucks bad that we can't all just go back to the mid and late 90's to see them at their absolute best as one, but memories live on. The music will forever live on also.

The music will live on. Can't take away Ed's legacy from Live either......the great stuff / and the lesser parts too. Give me new Live music like the old Live music and I will be happy.

It can NEVER be like the early Live. The combination of the four was unique.
However, I'll never say it can't be great, because I'm quite sure that's what it gonna be. It will be great in a new kind of way!

Eh, who cares if a few narrow minded people can't move on. It's really quite absurd to say Live isn't Live without Ed. Do you even realize how different he was from album to album, not to mention the dramatic difference overall from MJ to SFBM. Which Ed are you so dearly clinging to? Hell, a new singer may be closer to TC Ed or TDTH Ed than even Ed could be at this point. Just because in your mind you have limited your definition of Live to a specific idea, doesn't mean it is so. Especially when you consider all the different variations of Live we have experienced over the years. This is just one more variation, one you might even enjoy if you free your mind.

What made me become a fan of LIVE in the first place was Ed's lyrics and spirituality, so I really doubt I will enjoy a version of LIVE that doesn't include Ed. Also, I don't understand the excitement of this reunion since CCP have already been together the last 2 years. But now instead of working with successful frontmen(Ed Kowalczyk/Kevin Martin), they are working with Chris Shinn. To me this version of LIVE seems like a comedown not only from classic LIVE, but from The Gracious Few as well.

I think as soon as we get some new promo pictures of Live w/the new singer, we should have a new banner (and forum theme~!) whipped up with CCP+? and Ed, with the design separating them somehow. Not in a kind of ED IS THE SEPARATE ENEMY way, but more like a "this board covers both" kind of way.

We should also have a competition to produce the banner so everyone can get involved.

And cookies for the winner.
