Pre production for new Candlebox record. I love you Seattle. Let the minds begin

Is this new information? I wasn't aware that Candlebox were planning on recording a new album.

With Live reforming, Candlebox extending their tour dates and now a new Candlebox album - where's the time for The Gracious Few?

I think it was mentioned that they were doing an EP this year, not sure about an album.

Plenty of time for TGF though I'd imagine, its just gotta fit in with everyone's schedule, I think by now we should all be used to things not exactly happening when they are first announced to happen haha. My guess is maybe no TGF until some time next year?

Yes, you're right - Sean is probably referring to the EP. I just assumed it was going to be a full album.

To me Candlebox are very hit and miss, some songs I really dig and others just don't grab me at all. To me it just shows how important CCP are to me, they provide the music to KMs voice and suddenly gold is produced!

Absolutely worth it! I think out of the 4 records, Candlebox and Into the Sun are the best. There isn't a bad song on it, (the Hiwatts record also), Lucy and Happy Pills are outstanding also. As for Happy Pills & Lucy I think there are 1 or 2 song I'm not crazy about. Lucy is a different record from the rest, it's much darker. Rain, A Stone's Throw, Lucy, Lover Come Back are my favorites. But then there's Sometimes. That song can bring chills everytime. It is probably one of the more perfectly written songs ever, musically and lyrically it is amazing!

I wipe the night from my eyes
Block out the sunny day and I hide
Everything's falling down around us
I'm just missing the rain
I'm happier now today
Don't let me down
Don't let me go
A change of seasons inside her mind
In time I'll decide
In time I'll decide to move on
We change directions, we watch the tides
And we borrow too much
We form restrictions and we form lines
And we separate you from me
Sometimes, sometimes we carry more weight than we own
Oh but sometimes sometimes goes on
Night takes the light by the hand
Tunes out the boring day and cries out loud
Everyone's hanging on, hanging on my words
It kills the thrill in being divine
But she's happier now today
Don't let her down
Don't let her go
There are no reasons there are no lies
We just bleed together
That's how we realize
We change directions we watch the tides
And we borrow too much
We From restrictions and we form lines
We separate you from me
Sometimes sometimes we carry more weight than we own
Oh but sometimes sometimes goes on
Somehow we'll find a way we've got to paste it back together
These ripped out pages of old coloring books where your
Gold is silver, my blue is gray
Its all held together by cellophane tape
but We change directions, we watch the tides
And we borrow too much
We form restrictions and we form lines
We separate you from me
Sometimes sometimes we carry more weight than we own
Oh but sometimes sometimes goes on
In my head I've got everything I want in you

Candlebox - Self-titled and Kevin Martin & the Hiwatts are two of the best rock albums I own.

Candlebox was the band's best work together, and the Hiwatts album is KM's best songs yet.

I like the other 3 Candlebox albums a great deal, especially Lucy, but their first album was dynamite.

Happy Pills is very much like the first record, but it got no push at all from the record label and I think 1 single. Some of those songs on that record are so good, definitely radio quality. It's a shame what the industry does to these artists that records like the Hiwatts record for instance gets no radio airplay whatsoever. That record is amazing from the first song to the last. You have to wonder how many other bands are out there getting no attention whatsoever but their record will blow you away. It's sad.

Madonna's Label Maverick gave them a royal screwing much like what happened to Live with MCA & Sony.

I think I prefer KM & the Hiwatts to CB, I really dig that album. Telepathic Rock'N'Roll .. man what a monster of a song that is!
