'Maximum Live' was released shortly after the release of 'The Distance to Here'.

This CD is definitely for die-hards only. It is stacked with a large number of mistakes and inconsistencies in the storyline.

When this CD first showed up online, many fans wondered if the track names indicated new songs, since the titles of tracks 3 through 6 are the names of Live songs, but the other track names are not. The fact is that none of the tracks on this disc are songs. The entire CD is spoken. The track names were chosen to correspond with the theme of what is being talked about on each track.

Wow.

What kind of mistakes are there, Dan? Wonder if the band had anything to do with this release

The woman narrating the recording mispronounces Secret Samadhi every single time. There are a few other errors but I can't remember them.

I don't think the band was involved with the disc. There are small snippets of interviews with some of the band members, but only a few sentences at the beginning of each track. I think some were taken from the "In Conversation" disc, but I can't be sure.

I learned a few things (but then again, maybe they're mistakes lol.gif )

I still haven't listened to my copy and don't plan to. But is it like some of those terrible unauthorised docos where they can't even use the actual music by the band?

There are no Live tracks included on the disc. Just some stock instrumental music at the end of each track.

Yeah I figured as much ... I remember seeing an Unauthorised Smiths DVD where they had video of the band playing and it being overdubbed with stock music including someone elses vocals....weird
