Quite a nice and relaxed interview. The accent of the German interviewer is quite funny tho smile.gif.

Chad says they're still planning to try to get into one room with the four LIVE members. That'd be in like... 3 months?

Great interview. I like the way they articulate the rock n roll attitude. Live had that on their first 3 albums, and CCP were looking for it again, and they joined with Kevin to do it again while Ed went on a solo detour. If they can bring that together with Ed again, and in the future we get Ed solo, TGF and a better version of Live than we have had for years, then we all win!

Fun interview. Fingers crossed they do all get into a room together, but I worry Ed might not want to. He took the high road (whether or not he deserved to be there, the scoundrel!) while they initially showed him up to look like quite a prat (rightly or wrongly). If he doesn't fancy putting it all behind him like they seem to have then, you know, problems ahoy.

The breakup might have been contrived, or Chad could be bluffing about attempting a reunion in order to bolster sentiment for Live in order to make a sale, or Chad really is trying to see if Ed will return to Live after he was fired. All seems possible to me. Big mystery. Looking forward to see how things work out this July.

I don't think it is contrived. But every once in a while I wonder to myself what was meant by Ed's tweet 2 years ago after his acoustic solo tour started, just a few weeks before the hiatus, when he said something like "Just talked to Chad Taylor on the phone for a while tonight. We're always scheming something." Then shortly thereafter, all of this started.

Interesting! I remember that Tweet, didnt think about it until now.

On the otherside, I just can't believe Ed returns to Live as he even can't respond to Live questions without starting ABOUT HIS OWN AGAIN.

It may be for a reason tho, and maybe his 'long time friend' Chad can inspire him again.
