I found this on YouTube. It's a cover version of 'The Great Beyond' that appears in the Killing Bono movie.

Has anybody seen the film?

For some reason, this sounds better than Ed's version. Not the voice ofcourse, but just, dunno, the song overall.

Wow - those vocals suck.

The song sounds more complete then Ed's version but there needs to be more emphasis on the guitar riff.

What's this movie about? Is it about Bono from U2? It's wierd, but that version made the song sound alot like a U2 song. I would not have identified the song with U2 listening to Ed's version, but the way they changed up the music and the vocals, it sounds like it could be at home on one of U2's great early albums from the 80's. I really like that! I wish that Ed would have gone with that drum sound and guitar riffs that sound like Edge from U2. Pretty cool.

A friend in the UK says the song is used as the character's song in the movie - like that's their hit song apparently, but the original version is in the credits.

Whether he meant played in the credits, I'm not sure. Also, I don't know if he meant this version is "U2's" song or the 'rival' band - the skype connection was quite crap!

He did however say the story was fictional and quite funny.
