Has he been asked in interviews what he thinks of the record? This all reminds me of 1994 when Mötley Crüe went in a completely different direction with a new singer (altho they kept their name - bad move, IMO) and Vince was asked this all the time and vice versa. The ironic thing was that the 1994 Mötley Crüe record was one of their best. Of course, it didnt sell so they brought Vince back, but thats another thread for a different day.....

Im just waiting for an interview like this..

"So, Ed, what do you think about The Gracious Few? Have you listened to the album?"

Early on, Ed was asked about TGF. He said that he'd been busy and was focused on his album and hadn't heard any TGF. (IIRC)

Yeah you should probably stick a '?' at the end of the thread title and move to the EK forum as it primarily concerns him. I havent seen any of his recent interviews but the last one I saw when he was repeatedly asked about TGF and the Live split, he was very uncomfortable. He'd barely talk about the other guys, let alone their new band.

I was going to do that but that Open Wings Broken Strings concert ended in the top of the 8th Inning of Game 6 of the Phillies National League Championship Series. After the show, I opted instead to run across the street to a bar and watch the end of the game. When it was over, I went back to the venue but, alas, I had just missed the EK.

I did get some cool photos of that night though. I posted them in da EK thread, but I don't think that many people checked them out.

If the truth be told, by the time that EK show had arrived, I had seen TGF perform and my fire and vitriol over the EK had subsided and transformed into blissful satisfaction with the state music that is now coming out of the boys from York. I am perfectly content to have the EK vanish into the recesses of my memory and focus with great satisfaction on the things that TGF is doing. Thank G-d for TGF!

I think there is no more vitriol from most as TGF is on the cusp of blowing up!!! It seems the grass roots efforts are paying off. Everyone keep it up as it's working very well.

That wouldn't have been the first time that he threw something back in my face that I tried to offer him as a gift...

I once tried to give him a cool looking print of a photo that I shot of him and his bandmates and he took it from my hand, looked at it briefly, said "I don't want that, what would I want a picture for?!?!", and then hastily handed it back to me. I was thinking - oh, thanks for being so gracious. You could have at least let me think you were going to take it and then throw it out later, after I took the time to have it printed and carried it around all night to give to him.

Whatever.

Thank G-d for TGF.
